Happy Thanksgiving
Dungeons and Dragons; Presto
whiteveils
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. When I lived in England as a kid, my mom used to make macaroni and cheese for Thanksgiving. But now I'm back in the states and my mom's on the other side of the country. I'd rather have day with my family than turkey, but them's the breaks, I guess.

Anyway,
Got Breaking the Ties back from the beta reader. And I'm about a third of the way through with my edits. Everything is being edited, all the way from chapter 1, because A) I want to have a clean finished copy so everyone who read it can re-read it without me embarrassing myself with 10 year old typoes, and B) the story is so long that it's really easy to shoot someone with the gun in act 18 that you only thought you put on the mantlepiece in Act 2, but you never actually remembered to do so. Oops.

I'm dealing with vastly superpowerful characters, and I still hate deus ex machina. Bleah. Just not sure how to avoid them.

Wondering if I should add an authors note to the end of this to explain the history and some about the world. Is that helpful, interesting, annoying, or presumptuous? What's your opinion?

Slightly not about anything here, but I just realised what your icon was and had to pause to gaze in a long Awwwwwww! moment. Presto and Varla. You have the best D&D icon I've seen. I wasn't looking at it properly and then it dawned on me what it was. Hence the unexpected Awwww!!!

And, hello, you just friended me. *waves*

And good luck with the story then & Happy thanksgiving (which feels strange from someone who is still in England.)

I wish I could take credit for the Icon, but I believe it is Scribbles. I loved it so I had to borrow it. Sorry, Scribbles.
